Dialectic Courses

The minimum age for dialectic courses is 11. Recommended for 6th - 9th graders.

Integrated Courses

Based on the award-winning Tapestry of Grace classical homeschool curriculum, Lucerna Academy provides a classical Christian education using an integrated unit study approach, with the history of the world as the core organizational theme. Rather than studying subjects independently, students study the literature, geography, fine art, philosophy, and worldview of a people as they also study the history of that people, making rich connections and achieving a deeper understanding.

We're excited to use Tapestry of Grace's new Warp Companion Readers for our history courses! These Warp Readers are designed to be a spine overview resource, providing all the information that students need to answer the history discussion questions. By using these Warp Readers, we're able to pare down the reading list to our favorite living books, saving you money on books and streamlining the students' weekly work!

Where do we start? If you are new to integrated education, you are welcome to jump in with any of our four year plans.
Do we have to enroll in all the classes for the year plan? No. You may choose any class you like.

Living Books

We help you manage the expense of getting the wonderful living books that our discussion courses use by providing you with a recommended book lists that identifies the ISBN number and which weeks the books are used, so you will know which books you should purchase and which books you might be able to borrow from your library system. These book lists are sent to enrolled students before classes begin, giving you plenty of time to plan.
